National Health Service

At Walker and Hall we have always believed that early intervention and rehabilitation are the best way to obtain symptom control, improved function and, where appropriate, an early return to work.

We take great pride in our musculoskeletal service, ensuring that all our clinicians are trained to a high standard and maintain their continuous professional development.

Our musculoskeletal service has proved to be very popular and as a consequence we have been fortunate to have worked for the NHS on a number of occasions.

From 1993 to 2003 – Walker and Hall (as Ormskirk Physiotherapy Centre) provided an in-house musculoskeletal physiotherapy service for fund holding GPs, then for St Helens South Primary Care Trust and finally for St Helens & Knowsley Primary Care Group.

From 1995 to 1996 – Walker and Hall (as Ormskirk Physiotherapy Centre) provided a triage and assessment Service for West Lancashire Health Authority, working closely with the GPs of Ormskirk and West Lancashire and the local NHS Physiotherapy Service.

From 1997 to 1998 – as part of a waiting-list initiative, Walker and Hall (as Ormskirk Physiotherapy Centre) provided a musculoskeletal pysiotherapy service for West Lancashire Health Authority, working closely with the GP’s of Ormskirk and West Lancashire.

In view of the recent implementation of GP Clinical Commissioning Groups, Walker and Hall would be very interested in providing a musculoskeletal physiotherapy service for NHS patients.
